What I should be doing?
Starting my assignments. The goals I've set for tonight is to outline/plot what needs to be written tomorrow for one assignment, and settle on a text to analyse for my other assignment.

What I am doing?
I think I've gotten over my elusive chocolate fiend mania, which is a good thing. Instead I'm sitting here fantasizing over what my "dream" weekly workout regime would feature.

So here we go just for kicks.

Sunday: Rest Day?
Monday: Sprints (building speed); Poledancing or Hip Hop
Tuesday: Kickboxing
Wednesday: Short run (building speed and stamina)
Thursday: Body Pump
Friday: Yoga
Saturday: Long run (building distance and stamina every week)

Okay, so a little too fanciful maybe, but at least it mixes it up. Although maybe a little too much. Basically all I'm trying to tell myself is that I'm loving running (at least when I'm not actually doing it XP) enough to want to continue, and I want to try kickboxing, body pump, poledancing, hip hop and yoga. I guess if I tried them all I'd discover which ones I prefer. I'm liking the thought of yoga and poledancing, for flexibility (greatly needed!) and strength. I greatly lack core and upper body strength. Kickboxing sounds challenging and fun and so does hip hop (but moreso coordination-wise). Body pump sounds like a good mix up that I'd like and I really need to work some strength exercises into it so yes.

Too bad I don't have the money (or time!), but here's hoping one day that will change...

Back to plotting the celebrity x fairytales x tabloid news mash up and hunting for an experimental text.

A lot of noteworthy things have happened as of late, plus I have two assignments in the next two week (see: procrastination), so just a head's up that I'll actually be updating more (see: that's the plan).

Best start with today though. In list form? Okay.

Things Accomplished Today:
- discovered where Hornsby is
- caught up with family friend
- was advised/decided to take a chance on a career in radiology
- submitted late application to transfer to a radiology degree
- forked out $160 something in late application fees
- completed week 5 day 1 of the c25k

Okay, so that doesn't really seem like a lot. I purposely left out what I did at work, which I'm sure no one wants to hear about, even though I made people happy enough to leave me a $10 tip (yay!). I've also had the hiccups on six seperate occasions today, but I don't think that's really an accomplishment. More like a hinderance.
tldr )
Hello scary possible plunge into the future which also could be soul sucking, but at least my babies will have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies and brownie points from whoever is up there/society will roll in with everything x-ray/joint fluid sample I take.

Hi Dreamwidth!

I'm most probably going to be talking to myself over here, but that doesn't really matter now does it? It gives me the freedom to start over again and say whatever I feel like without worrying about entertaining anyone. I'll most probably write up a public sticky sort of welcome/intro post later on to make it look pretty, but here goes the first entry...

I just completed Week 4 of the Couch to 5k (c25k) and managed to stay above 9kms for every run. My lowest speed was 9.2km/h for the last 5 minutes so yay! It definitely felt easier than the past two times so now I'm tossing up whether to stick to my original plan of doing an additional session of Week 4 to prepare myself for the onslaught of Week 5 (by the end of which I should be running 20mins non stop!). I actually stacked it this morning walking (okay, maybe half jogging in my enthusiasm for the run today) on George St. resulting in a bung knee (okay, not really it's just a little swollen and bruised) and mozzies attacked the ankle of the same leg last night, so my poor left leg is a little worse for wear. Luckily, I wasn't really hurt and it didn't affect my run. Yay!

Feeling good as I managed to get a walk in today due to the car being inspected for repairs tomorrow, so I had to walk home from the station. The weather is wonderful, but I'm wondering how I'm going to deal with Summer + running!

I was going to attempt a vlog today, but got caught up in reading about the Marie Claire "Health Blogger Controversy", which is absolutely absurd! My first thoughts were "LOLWUT?!". Does not dignify proper speech. I read about it on Healthy Tipping Point, which I've only been reading for less than a fortnight, but still took the article to be complete poppycock!

Another thing that made me laugh today? NT Police seize "Knuckleduster" rings from Diva. If you click through and see the image it's pretty much just one of those popular multiple finger statement rings... I was expecting it to be one of those spiky ones, but nope. Then again, who am I to know that it wasn't a more dangerous looking ring? The media isn't exactly trustworthy nowadays and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Being a communications student has not only resulted in my future career being 'unemployed', but also turned me into a bit of a cynic. Oh well, it has certainly brought the LULZ.
