Hi Dreamwidth!
I'm most probably going to be talking to myself over here, but that doesn't really matter now does it? It gives me the freedom to start over again and say whatever I feel like without worrying about entertaining anyone. I'll most probably write up a public sticky sort of welcome/intro post later on to make it look pretty, but here goes the first entry...
I just completed Week 4 of the Couch to 5k (c25k) and managed to stay above 9kms for every run. My lowest speed was 9.2km/h for the last 5 minutes so yay! It definitely felt easier than the past two times so now I'm tossing up whether to stick to my original plan of doing an additional session of Week 4 to prepare myself for the onslaught of Week 5 (by the end of which I should be running 20mins non stop!). I actually stacked it this morning walking (okay, maybe half jogging in my enthusiasm for the run today) on George St. resulting in a bung knee (okay, not really it's just a little swollen and bruised) and mozzies attacked the ankle of the same leg last night, so my poor left leg is a little worse for wear. Luckily, I wasn't really hurt and it didn't affect my run. Yay!
Feeling good as I managed to get a walk in today due to the car being inspected for repairs tomorrow, so I had to walk home from the station. The weather is wonderful, but I'm wondering how I'm going to deal with Summer + running!
I was going to attempt a vlog today, but got caught up in reading about the Marie Claire "Health Blogger Controversy", which is absolutely absurd! My first thoughts were "LOLWUT?!". Does not dignify proper speech. I read about it on Healthy Tipping Point, which I've only been reading for less than a fortnight, but still took the article to be complete poppycock!
Another thing that made me laugh today? NT Police seize "Knuckleduster" rings from Diva. If you click through and see the image it's pretty much just one of those popular multiple finger statement rings... I was expecting it to be one of those spiky ones, but nope. Then again, who am I to know that it wasn't a more dangerous looking ring? The media isn't exactly trustworthy nowadays and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Being a communications student has not only resulted in my future career being 'unemployed', but also turned me into a bit of a cynic. Oh well, it has certainly brought the LULZ.
